Meal planning is a must in our family. We are just too busy NOT to plan out our meals. And these easy summer meals make my life easier. Summer days are filled with swimming, reading, board games, Legos, and if the kids are lucky video games. It’s never any fun to stop playing to make dinner. And it’s even worse when you have to stop playing and try to think about what to make. I hope that as I plan out my menu I can make dinnertime easier for your family.

This is our last month of school. I love this idea from Kristin Duke about having a Back to School Dinner. And with it being July we are so excited to celebrate Harry Potter’s Birthday. You can read about our family traditions and the fun things we do. It’s a little bit of work, but it encourages reading and family togetherness. And of course we will be using our 3 Broomstick mugs to celebrate. And we are excited for Pioneer Day. Gone our the days where we trek to a local park with friends (dressed in pioneer clothes of course). Arizona is just too hot! So we settle on Peach Cobbler.
And of course to celebrate the United States this 4th of July you can check out my post about how to plan a flag ceremony. Perfect for scouts or families.
